However, each chartered organization can use either of two other options to celebrate this special day. An organization can adopt a specific Sunday to celebrate. In the instance of the United Methodist Church, Scout Sunday is celebrated on the second Sunday in February. It also is permissible for a local church to celebrate on the Sunday most acceptable to the pastor and congregation. 24 9:00 am: Moccasin Lake Nature Park clean up 9:00 am – 12:00 pm February 24, 2024 Give-A-Day for the Bay: Moccasin Lake Nature Park Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and Tampa Bay Estuary Program for a Give-A-Day for the Bay at Moccasin Lake Nature Park (2750 Park Trail Ln, Clearwater, FL 33759) on February 24, 2024 from 9am-12pm. We will work together to remove invasive species from around the lake. Free lunch will be provided for all volunteers. This is a great opportunity for individuals in need of service hours. Be sure to wear shoes and pants that can get wet. Bring bug spray, sunscreen, and other products that will protect your skin from the elements. This is a formal recognition with families, friends, and the public in attendance. All Scouts who have moved up to any rank except Eagle Scout, or who have earned merit badges since the last court of honor, will be recognized. Please make sure you turn your blue cards in no later than February 14th.
